The need for gemstone faceters in East Africa is quickly growing as governments aim to increase jobs by requiring gems to be faceted in the source country, however there is a severe lack of educated faceters to do the work. Gem Legacy’s goal at the Gemological and Gem Faceting School in Arusha, Tanzania is to educate young adults to enter that workforce.
