The Mwatate Children’s Home in Southern Kenya is a safe haven currently housing over 30 children, age 5-18. The children are all orphans, do not have a home or family to live with, or do not feel safe in their home. The Home was founded by and is still directed by local gemstone dealers who sought for a way to give back to the region that gives them gems.
